Conversation review amendment (announced October 17, 2026) — From November 16, 2026, 00:00 Korea time, specifically authorized super administrators may review eligible conversations and attachments within the service for dispute resolution, report handling and customer support. The purpose and access history are recorded. Messages sent before the effective date are excluded. Actual activation follows completion of the notice and individual notification procedure; see the conversation review amendment below for the scope. Amendment notice (announced September 29, 2026) — From October 29, 2026, the Host confirmation window grows from 24 to 48 hours (for bookings requested from that day), and the used-gear Marketplace selling fee becomes 5% of the sale amount, card-payment fee included. The amended clauses are marked in Articles 8 and 9 and the Supplementary Provisions.

Maptlantis (hereinafter the "Company") operates a service at maptlantis.com (hereinafter the "Service") for finding and booking scuba diving, freediving, snorkeling and marine-life tours and liveaboards worldwide, together with a used-gear marketplace where members buy and sell diving equipment among themselves. These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between members who use the Service and the Company.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms are intended to set out the conditions and procedures for using the Service provided by the Company, the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and members, and other necessary matters.

Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms have the following meanings.

  1. Service: the ocean-activity information map, search, community, product listings, inquiry/booking connections, payment, used-gear marketplace and all ancillary functions that the Company provides at maptlantis.com and related web/mobile environments.
  2. Member: a person who has agreed to these Terms and entered into a Service use agreement with the Company.
  3. Non-member: a person who views the Service's publicly available information without registering as a member.
  4. Host: an instructor, dive center, boat operator, travel business or similar party who lists and sells products such as lessons, tours or liveaboards on the Service.
  5. Product: any paid service — such as scuba diving, freediving or snorkeling lessons, tours, liveaboards or try-dives — registered on the Service by a Host or the Company.
  6. Inquiry: a process in which a member asks a Host about schedule and conditions; it does not involve payment and its reference code begins with MT-.
  7. Booking: a process in which a member selects a product's schedule and number of participants, pays a deposit, and requests the Host's confirmation; its reference code begins with MB-.
  8. Deposit: the amount paid when requesting a booking, set per product either as a fixed amount per person or as a percentage of the total price. The balance is paid locally or through a separate process as determined by the Host.
  9. Host confirmation: the Host's act of accepting a booking request, which forms the booking.
  10. Marketplace: the posting space and messaging feature the Company provides so that members can list their own used diving gear and trade directly with other members.
  11. Listing: a used-gear post that a member has registered in the Marketplace.
  12. Selling member / buying member: respectively, a member who has registered a listing in the Marketplace, and a member who contacts or trades with the selling member regarding that listing.

Article 3 (The Company's status and business information)

① The Company holds the following three capacities together, and indicates on each screen which capacity a given feature is provided under.

  1. Mail-order intermediary: for products that Hosts list and sell, and for listings that members post in the Marketplace, the Company is a mail-order intermediary that provides the trading venue and system. In this case the parties to the contract are the seller and the buyer, and the Company is not a party to the mail-order transaction. The Company is not responsible for the content, quality, safety or performance of a product or listing. This does not apply, however, where a member suffers damage due to the Company's intent or negligence.
  2. Travel business operator: for travel products that the Company itself plans and sells, the Company is a travel business operator registered under the Tourism Promotion Act and is a party to the contract. In this case, the Overseas Travel Standard Terms or Domestic Travel Standard Terms apply together with these Terms.

② The Company processes all payments only by credit/debit card payment through PortOne, and under no circumstances holds or keeps transaction funds in the Company's own name. Any contact requesting a bank transfer or deposit into a company account is not from the Company.

③ The Company's business information is as follows.

Article 4 (Posting and amendment of these Terms)

① The Company posts these Terms at the bottom of the Service's landing screen and at https://maptlantis.com/policies/terms so that members can review them at any time. ② The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable law. ③ When the Company amends these Terms, it will state the effective date and the reason for the amendment and give notice within the Service from 7 days before the effective date. However, changes that are disadvantageous or material to members will be announced from 30 days before the effective date and individually notified by means such as the member's registered email. ④ If a member does not state an objection by the effective date of the amended Terms, the member is deemed to have agreed to the amendment. A member who does not agree to the amended Terms may terminate the use agreement.

Article 5 (Formation of the use agreement)

① The use agreement is formed when a person who wishes to use the Service agrees to these Terms and applies to join, and the Company accepts that application. ② The Company may withhold acceptance of, or subsequently terminate the use agreement for, an application that falls under any of the following.

  1. Impersonating another person or misusing another person's information
  2. Providing false information or failing to provide information required by the Company
  3. Being under the age of 14
  4. Having previously had a use agreement terminated for violating these Terms
  5. Other cases where applicable law would be violated or the operation of the Service would be materially disrupted

③ The Company may support sign-up through social login (Google, Apple, etc.), in which case the scope of information received from the relevant provider is governed by the Privacy Policy.

Article 6 (Members' account management)

① A member must manage their own account and authentication means and must not allow a third party to use them. ② A member who becomes aware that their account has been stolen or is being used by a third party must notify the Company immediately and follow the Company's guidance. ③ The Company is not responsible for damage arising from a member's failure to give the notice under paragraph ② or failure to follow the Company's guidance after giving notice.

Article 7 (Content of the Service)

① The Company provides the following services.

  1. Collecting, organizing and providing worldwide scuba diving, freediving and snorkeling site information, marine-life observation information and operator information
  2. Search and recommendations based on region, season, marine life and product conditions
  3. Registration and browsing of Host products, and connecting inquiries and booking requests
  4. Deposit payment, booking status information, and a messaging channel between Hosts and members
  5. Listing, search and wish-listing of used diving gear, and a messaging channel between members
  6. Member-participation features such as reviews, community and media. The community's operating standards are set out in the Community Guidelines.
  7. Smart Logbook and Dive Conquest: a feature that colors a world map by country based on the dive logs members record, and shares monthly rankings and community posts. Disclosure of records is governed by Article 13-2.
  8. Other supplementary services determined by the Company

② Place, operator, price and schedule information shown on the Service includes both information collected and organized from public sources and information registered directly by Hosts. The Company strives to keep information current, but actual conditions may differ due to local circumstances, so members should re-verify with official sources before booking. ③ The Service is, in principle, provided 24 hours a day, year-round. However, the Service may be temporarily suspended for reasons such as facility inspection, replacement, malfunction, communication failure or natural disaster, and the Company will give notice in advance where reasonably possible.

Article 8 (Inquiry and booking procedure)

① An inquiry (MT-) is a process of asking a Host about schedule and conditions without payment. An inquiry alone does not form a booking. ② A booking (MB-) proceeds in the following order.

  1. When a member selects a product's schedule (a date for lessons; a session for tours/liveaboards) and number of participants, that spot is temporarily held for 15 minutes until payment is completed.
  2. When the member pays the deposit, the booking request is delivered to the Host.
  3. The Host must confirm or decline within 24 hours of the time of payment (48 hours for bookings requested on or after October 29, 2026).
  4. If the Host confirms, the booking is formed and confirmation notices are sent to the member and the Host.
  5. If the Host does not respond within the period in item 3, the booking request automatically expires and the paid deposit is refunded in full.
  6. If the Host declines, the deposit is likewise refunded in full.

③ Where a Host sends a payment link through an inquiry, that link is valid for 48 hours from the time it is sent. ④ Cancellation and refunds after a booking is formed are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy. ⑤ The time limits in paragraph ② may change according to the Service's operational needs, and any change will be announced under Article 4.

Article 9 (Used-gear marketplace)

① The Company's status — the Marketplace is a space where members post their own used gear directly and trade with other members. The Company is a mail-order intermediary providing the trading venue and messaging feature, and is not a party to, or agent for, the sale contract. This fact is also displayed on the Marketplace screens.

② Payment and funds — payment in the Marketplace operates as follows.

  1. All payments are made only by credit/debit card payment through PortOne. The Company does not offer bank transfer, cash, or transfer to a company account as a means of payment.
  2. The Company does not receive or hold transaction funds in the Company's own name. Funds are paid to the selling member through the payment gateway, and the Company receives only the selling fee set out in the Fee Guide (from October 29, 2026, 5% of the sale amount, card-payment fee included).
  3. The Company does not provide payment escrow. Card payments can be disputed through the card issuer's authorization-cancellation and chargeback procedures.
  4. The card-payment feature is not yet open. The timing at which the feature opens, and the conditions that will apply at that time, will be announced in advance under Article 4; until it opens, Marketplace trades take place only as the direct trades described in paragraph ③.

③ Direct trading — members may trade directly, in person or by courier, without using the payment feature. In this case the Company is not involved in payment or delivery in any way and is not responsible for non-payment, non-delivery of goods, account fraud or similar. Be especially careful if asked for a bank transfer outside the Service.

④ Selling member's identity information — where a selling member is an individual rather than a business, if a buying member requests it, the Company will verify and provide the selling member's name, contact details and other identity information necessary for the transaction, in accordance with Article 20(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. Selling members must truthfully provide the information the Company requests for this purpose. ⑤ Handling of withdrawal of offer, etc. — for transactions where the Company handles receipt of the offer and payment on an agency basis, the Company performs the functions of withdrawal of offer, refund of payment and dispute resolution under Article 20-3 of the same Act. The standards for this are set out in Article 10 of the Cancellation and Refund Policy. ⑥ Delivery method — the selling member chooses the delivery method from direct trade, courier, or both. If courier is chosen, the shipping cost must be shown on the listing; if direct trade is chosen, the area available for trade must be shown. Responsibility for loss or damage during shipping follows the agreement between the parties and applicable law. ⑦ Selling member's obligations — a selling member must observe the following.

  1. Register only items the member has the right to dispose of
  2. Use photos taken of the actual item, and not misappropriate photos from another post or from the manufacturer
  3. State the brand, model, condition of use and known defects truthfully. Knowingly failing to state a known defect is a violation of these Terms.
  4. Where a service history is stated, state the actual history. A service date shown on the Service is information the selling member has disclosed and is not confirmed or guaranteed by the Company.
  5. Once a transaction is complete, change the listing's status to "trade in progress" or "sold"
  6. If selling items repeatedly or on a business basis, complete business registration and mail-order business reporting as required by applicable law

⑧ Items that cannot be listed — the following items may not be posted in the Marketplace, and the Company may suspend a listing immediately upon discovering it.

  1. Counterfeit or stolen goods, or other items the poster has no right to dispose of
  2. High-pressure gas cylinders (scuba cylinders), explosives, flammable or toxic substances and other items whose person-to-person trade is restricted by applicable law
  3. Medical devices or communication devices that cannot be distributed without the permit or reporting required by law
  4. Postings for services, rentals, advertising, recruitment or promotion rather than for goods
  5. Other postings that violate applicable law or these Terms

⑨ Special rule for safety — extra care is required when trading used equipment directly related to life and safety underwater, such as regulators, BCDs, dive computers, SMBs and weights. Buying members are strongly advised to have such equipment inspected at a manufacturer-designated service center before use. The Company does not inspect or guarantee the performance, safety or fitness for use of gear listed in the Marketplace.

⑩ Reports and suspension of listings — members may report suspected false information or fraud, inappropriate content, duplicate postings or advertising. The Company will review reports, record its reasons, and may hide a listing; report content is viewable only by operations staff. Previous notice (applies to messages before the conversation review amendment takes effect) — The Company does not view members' private conversations while processing a report, and where necessary bases follow-up action solely on the identifier of the reported conversation. ⑪ Blocking — members may block other members. Blocking restricts new conversations and inquiries, and a blocking relationship may not be circumvented through another channel. ⑫ The Company's exemption from liability — the Company does not guarantee the existence, authenticity, quality, safety or legality of a listing, or a selling member's capacity to complete the transaction, and is not responsible for disputes or damage arising from transactions between members. This does not apply, however, where the Company failed to give the notice under paragraph ① or where damage was aggravated by the Company's failure to take the measures required under these Terms. ⑬ In the event of a dispute — where suspected fraud or another crime arises from a Marketplace transaction, a report can be filed with the National Police Agency's Cyber Crime Report system (ecrm.cyber.go.kr (opens in a new tab)). The Company will cooperate, to the extent permitted by applicable law, with lawful requests from investigative authorities.

Article 10 (Fees and payment)

① The price of a product, its deposit, and what is included or excluded follow what is shown on each product's screen. ② A member pays the deposit by credit/debit card payment through PortOne. Payment is processed through a payment gateway that is a licensed electronic financial business, and the Company does not store detailed payment-method information such as card numbers. The Company never holds or keeps a member's funds in the Company's own name. ③ Where a displayed price includes a foreign currency, the actual amount charged may vary according to the exchange rate at the time of payment and the card issuer's policies. ④ Members bear no separate intermediary fee. Details are set out in the Fee Guide; the fees Hosts bear and the settlement standards are set out separately in the Partner Studio's fee and settlement guide. ⑤ This Article applies to product bookings. Payment for Marketplace transactions is governed separately by Article 9②.

Article 11 (Members' obligations)

① A member must not do any of the following.

  1. Entering false information when signing up, making an inquiry or booking, registering a listing, or writing a review
  2. Misappropriating another person's personal information or account
  3. Infringing the intellectual property rights of the Company, a Host, or another member
  4. Collecting, storing or using without authorization the contact details of a Host or another member obtained through the Service
  5. Undermining the reliability of reviews, such as by writing a review in exchange for compensation or without having actually used the product
  6. Accessing the Service or bulk-collecting data by automated means
  7. Using the messaging feature for advertising, spam, requests for money, or directing users to external sites
  8. Disrupting the stable operation of the Service or violating applicable law

② When participating in a lesson or tour, a member must observe the safety rules, qualification requirements and health-disclosure obligations that the Host and local operator provide. Underwater activity inherently carries risk, and members are responsible for choosing products suited to their own health and ability.

Article 12 (Hosts' obligations)

① A Host must register and keep current the truthful content, price, schedule, capacity, qualification requirements, safety information and cancellation policy of a product. ② A Host must hold any license, registration or insurance required under applicable law, and must provide proof of these if the Company requests it. ③ A Host must faithfully perform a confirmed booking, and if unable to do so for unavoidable reasons, must immediately notify the member and the Company and follow the cancellation and refund procedure. ④ Where a Host violates paragraphs ① through ③ and a member suffers damage as a result, responsibility for that damage lies with the Host. ⑤ A Host who operates instructor stamps agrees that, when a member selects that Host as the accompanying instructor in the Smart Logbook, the display name and a link to the Host's profile will be disclosed on that log and on Dive Conquest and community posts. A Host who does not want this may simply stop operating instructor stamps, after which the name is no longer disclosed. Contact details are never disclosed under any circumstances.

Article 13 (Postings and intellectual property)

① Copyright in reviews, photos, posts, listings and other content that a member posts to the Service (hereinafter "Postings") belongs to the member. ② A member grants the Company a royalty-free right to use the member's Postings, domestically and abroad, for the purpose of operating, displaying and promoting the Service. This grant lapses prospectively if the member deletes the Posting or terminates the use agreement, except for portions already reproduced or quoted in a form already shown to other members. ③ The Company may hide or delete the following Postings without prior notice.

  1. Postings that defame another person or infringe their rights
  2. Postings intended as false statements or advertising
  3. Reviews whose underlying use cannot be confirmed
  4. Listings falling under Article 9⑧
  5. Postings that violate applicable law or these Terms

④ A person whose rights — such as privacy or reputation — have been infringed by a Posting may request deletion by emailing info@maptlantis.com. In accordance with Article 44-2 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., the Company will promptly delete the Posting or take temporary measures and will notify both the requester and the poster of that fact. Detailed procedures are set out in Article 6 of the Community Guidelines. ⑤ Even if a listing is deleted or hidden, conversations that already took place and the listing information as it stood at that time remain available to the participants in that conversation for the purpose of resolving disputes. ⑥ Rights in the Service itself and in maps, data, wording and design created by the Company belong to the Company, and a member may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from them without the Company's prior consent.

Article 13-2 (Disclosure of Smart Logbook records)

① A dive record that a member posts (saves) to the Smart Logbook is disclosed in full on the Dive Conquest map, the conquest rankings, and the community, and is automatically posted to the community board on the day it is posted. Records posted by the same member for the same country within 7 days are combined and posted/updated as a single post. A record saved as a temporary draft with "continue later" is not disclosed. ② The disclosed items are the country, place and region dived, the exact dive date, the type of activity, depth/dive time/water temperature/visibility, marine life encountered, photos attached to the record, the dive shop used, and the registered instructor's name under Article 12⑤. The instructor name entered directly by the member, the names of buddies, and the personal log number are visible only to the member. ③ Where a member posts information about a third party in a record — such as a photo showing another person's name or face — the posting member must obtain that person's consent, and is responsible for any problem arising from a failure to do so. Such information will be hidden under Article 13③④ once a report is received. ④ Dive Conquest rankings are determined, in order, by the number of newly disclosed countries that month (Korean time), the number of new dive points, and the number of records verified by an operator. Records logged on a day when dives are recorded across three or more different continents, and records hidden by an operational action, are excluded from the rankings, and the Company may exclude a record obtained by improper means from the rankings. There is a limit on the number of records that can be posted per day. ⑤ A member may take a record down at any time using the logbook's delete function, and a deleted record is removed from Dive Conquest, the rankings and community posts. Deleting an automatically posted community post removes only that post; the logbook record itself remains. Deletion is handled by hiding the posting, and any record that must be retained for legal or dispute-resolution purposes is kept for the period set out in the Privacy Policy. ⑥ If an automatically posted post is hidden due to a report or operational action, the record linked to that post is likewise hidden from Dive Conquest and the rankings.

Article 14 (Restriction of use and termination of the agreement)

① Depending on the severity of a violation, the Company may warn a member who has violated these Terms, delete a Posting, restrict features, suspend the account temporarily, or terminate the use agreement. ② The Company will notify the member of the reason and duration before taking a measure. However, where urgent action is needed, notice may be given after the measure is taken. ③ A member who objects to a measure may raise the objection by emailing info@maptlantis.com, and the Company will immediately lift the measure if it finds the objection to be justified. ④ A member may terminate the use agreement at any time through the in-Service procedure. However, where a booking is in progress, termination takes effect after that booking ends or is cancelled.

Article 15 (The Company's responsibility and exemption from liability)

① The Company strives to provide a stable Service and, where the Company's intent or negligence causes damage to a member, will compensate for that damage in accordance with applicable law. ② As a mail-order intermediary, the Company is not a party to the contract for the products it intermediates, and is not responsible for the content, quality, safety or performance of a product provided by a Host. This fact is also displayed on each product's screen. ③ The Company is not a party to Marketplace transactions and is not responsible for the sale between members or its performance. Details are set out in Article 9⑫. ④ The Company is not responsible for failing to provide the Service due to causes beyond the Company's control, such as natural disaster, severe weather, port or airport control, war, government order, epidemic, or communication failure. ⑤ The Company is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information or material that a member posts to the Service. ⑥ The Company has no obligation to intervene in a dispute arising between members, or between a member and a Host, through the medium of the Service. However, the Company will cooperate in good faith by providing material necessary for dispute resolution and in mediation.

Article 16 (Notices)

① When the Company gives notice to a member, it may use the member's registered email, an in-Service notification, a text message, or a KakaoTalk notification message. ② Notice to members generally may be given by posting a notice within the Service. However, matters that materially affect a member's own transaction are notified individually.

Article 17 (Dispute resolution and jurisdiction)

① The Company strives to reflect members' legitimate opinions or complaints, and promptly handles complaints received at info@maptlantis.com or through the customer center at 0505-115-1234. ② Where a dispute arises between the Company and a member, both parties will negotiate in good faith toward an amicable resolution. ③ If negotiation does not succeed, a member may apply for mediation to a dispute-mediation body such as the Korea Consumer Agency, the Fair Trade Commission, or the Korea Tourism Association. ④ These Terms and use of the Service are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea, and if litigation becomes necessary it will be brought in the court of jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms take effect on September 10, 2026.

Amended September 15, 2026 — Article 7①7 (Smart Logbook and Dive Conquest), Article 12⑤ (instructor display) and Article 13-2 (disclosure of Smart Logbook records) were newly established. The amended Terms apply to newly joining members from the date they join, and to existing members from the date they agree to the amended Terms; records posted before agreeing are visible only to that member and are not automatically posted to the community.

Amended October 29, 2026 — Article 8②3 and ②5 (a 48-hour Host confirmation window) and Article 9②2 (a Marketplace selling fee of 5%, card-payment fee included) were amended. The amended Terms take effect at 00:00 on October 29, 2026 (Korea Standard Time), and the confirmation window applies to bookings requested from then on. The amendment was announced on September 29, 2026.

Conversation review amendment (announced October 17, 2026)

Amendment ID: admin-chat-2026-11-16 · Scheduled effective date: November 16, 2026, 00:00 Korea time

  1. Purpose and scope — Specifically authorized super administrators may review original messages, participant and related transaction details, and attachments in the service's marketplace, booking, pre-booking inquiry and product inquiry conversations for dispute resolution, report handling, customer support and related investigations of misuse. Unreported conversations may also be reviewed for a recorded work purpose and reason. This feature does not collect conversations from external messengers or email.
  2. Access and records — General members, Hosts and business staff do not receive access to all conversations. The administrator's login, active session, current permissions and additional authentication are checked. The review purpose, reason, target, time, administrator and associated case are recorded, including search and attachment access. Internal investigation notes are not shown to the other participant. Conversation text is not copied into ordinary application logs.
  3. Earlier conversations — This amendment does not retroactively open messages written under the previous notice that private conversations would not be viewed. Messages sent before November 16, 2026, 00:00 Korea time are excluded from this feature. Operational access starts after the notice and individual notification procedure is completed. If activation is later, only messages written at or after that actual activation time are eligible. Eligibility is determined per message, including in rooms created earlier. Past consent records and existing booking or transaction terms are unchanged.
  4. Retention and deletion — This feature does not extend existing retention periods or suspend account withdrawal or deletion procedures. Only retained content within the applicable scope is available. Permanently deleted or anonymized originals and missing attachments are not recovered. Case materials and audit records follow their applicable retention and deletion procedures with separate access controls. Viewing alone does not change participants' read receipts, notifications, booking, payment or transaction status.
  5. Contact — For scope questions or requests to access, correct, delete or restrict personal information, use the account privacy tools, info@maptlantis.com or customer support at 0505-115-1234. Where earlier notices differ, this amendment applies only within the scope described above.
