만타 개체 수 정점(6월~9월)의 후반인 8월은 호주 관광청이 저성수기(6~8월)로 분류하는 시기라 섬이 한산하다. 석호는 해변에서 걸어 들어가는 얕은 스노클 구역이고 만타는 리프 가장자리 클리닝 스테이션에서 관찰되므로 스노클러도 볼 기회가 있다. 겨울 수온이 낮아 슈트가 필요하다.
