폴스베이의 칠성상어는 4월에 연안 켈프 숲으로 돌아온다고 보고되며, 용승이 약해져 시야가 회복되는 시기와 겹친다. 4월은 밀러스포인트 등 수심 12m 안팎의 얕은 켈프 보호구역에서 조우 빈도가 올라가는 달이다. 사회적 섭식성이라 한 번에 여러 마리가 무리 지어 접근하는 사례가 기록된다.
