스캘럽드 해머헤드의 밀집 집결은 6월~11월에 정점을 이루며 7월은 그 구간 초반이다. 이 시기는 코스타리카 우기와 겹쳐 30~36시간의 편도 항해가 거칠어질 수 있다는 점을 함께 안내해야 한다. 상륙 체류가 금지되어 리브어보드가 유일한 접근 수단이다.
