바하칼리포르니아주 관광부는 바이아데로스앙헬레스의 고래상어 관찰 시즌을 6월 1일~12월 15일로 공고했고, 수온이 가장 높고 개체가 집중되는 최적 구간은 8월~11월로 보고된다. 8월은 이 최적 구간의 시작이며 만 남단 엘 린콘·플라야 라 그링가 일대에 플랑크톤을 따라 개체가 모인다. 이 해역은 CONANP 생물권보전지역 관할이다.
