아카바 현지 전문가들은 가을(9월~11월)을 연중 최고의 다이빙 시즌으로 꼽는다. 수온 25~27℃가 유지되면서 기온은 여름 40℃ 이상에서 내려오고 시야가 가장 맑다. 10월은 이 구간의 한가운데다. 사우스비치 일대는 해안에서 바로 들어가는 얕은 산호 포인트라 어린이·초보자의 스노클과 체험 다이빙에 적합하다.
