글래든 스핏·실크케이스 해양보호구역은 20종 이상의 카리브해 어류가 산란하는 곳으로, 특히 큐베라(블랙) 스내퍼의 알에 맞춰 고래상어가 나타난다. 시즌은 3월~6월이며 보름 이틀 전~열흘 후가 관찰 창이다. 5월은 현지 다이브숍이 4월과 함께 가장 좋은 달로 꼽는 구간이다. 보호구역 허가가 필요하고 플라센시아에서 편도 약 1시간 30분 항해한다.
