대만 현지 가이드는 해머헤드가 겨울(12월~2월)의 서늘한 물에서 더 자주 목격된다고 기술하고, 다른 안내는 1월~3월에 샤크포인트(군수이비)에 무리가 모이며 번식지로 추정된다고 한다. 2월은 두 창이 겹치는 달이다. 샤크포인트는 수심 37m까지 내려가는 강한 조류의 네거티브 엔트리 포인트라 경험 다이버에게만 권장된다. 여름(6~8월)은 시야 40m·수온 26~29℃로 다른 성격의 시즌이다.
